We have over 21 years of experience of working in the planning profession having experience in the public sector at both Council and Central Government levels. We have advised on all aspects of the planning system representing numerous high-profile clients, working on a variety of projects.

Extensive knowledge has been gained by delivering a range of developments throughout the country guiding clients through the complexities of the planning system; within development management, site promotion and estate rationalisation.  We are experts in gaining planning permission to support large scale commercial development and residential led redevelopment, dealing with challenging and contentious cases. 

We have significant Local Planning Authority experience and a thorough understanding of the requirements of planning in conservations areas, with listed buildings and the regeneration of underused or derelict sites.  We are familiar with the internal procedures and timescales of a local authority and are adept at dealing with the resource issues and pressures affecting them. In short, we know to treat local authority planners with respect, and do as much as we can to help make their job of assessing our applications as easy as possible.

Our Planning Director is passionate about bringing top level planning experience and knowledge to individual planning projects, without global consultancy overheads. Ellen started her career on the City Centre team in Birmingham City Council’s planning department, giving her deep insight into the ethos and workings of Local Government. She supplemented that experience with lengthy stints with Central Government and global multidisciplinary consultancies at Head of Development Planning level. 

Leaving global consultancy and setting up our own firm has enabled us to give the attention and time required to ensure our projects achieve speedy, viable and deliverable consents, allowing us to focus on the planning work that we love.
